Welcome December!

I have to start this post with a HUGE sigh of relief.

I love fall. I love Thanksgiving. November is usually one of my favorite months! This year however, we had an incredibly stressful eleventh month and I am very glad to be moving on from it!

I believe if you look up the definition of stress you will find a detailed description of Scout Sniper Basic Course next to a picture of me pulling all of my hair out. Don't get me wrong, I am incredibly proud of Mike for working SO hard and pushing himself to the limit to graduate this course! I am thankful every day for his dedication and perseverance. No matter how proud I may be, there's no getting around how hard this school was on both of us.. But November 26th marked the end of sniper school and with Mike's graduation certificate came that big sigh of relief :)

Not the best photo, but this was graduation.
YAY IT'S OVER! :)
Moving on...

We had a really fun Thanksgiving surrounded by friends and an absurd amount of food! I cooked a 20 pound turkey for the first time and even though it took a bit more time than I anticipated, it was delicious! And any night that ends in a couple rounds of beer pong is a win in my book! ;)

Somehow this is the only picture we got from turkey day... Doesn't Mike look thrilled? ;)
This past weekend we made our way to the same little tree farm we visited last year and picked out our Christmas tree!

He's my fave :)
After a couple of shopping stops and a yummy lunch at Chilis, we made our way home for hot toddies and tree decorating!

The very best helpers!
We also hung our stockings and we even got Lou's all stuffed :)

Today while Mike has been at work, I got all of his gifts wrapped and most of his stocking stuffers squared away.. I just love this time of year!

We have a lot to look forward to in the next couple of weeks all leading up to our niece's wedding in January, but my goal for this month is to try and slow down a little and enjoy this holiday season! Happy holidays friends! :)
