The Big Day

Let me start by saying, planning an out of state wedding is HARD y'all! There were more than a few times where I seriously considered throwing in the towel. Who needs the pretty white dress and delicious cake anyway?

I am so, SO glad that I didn't :)

We flew into Austin last Wednesday after a delayed flight, a missed connection, and a couple hours spent at a T.G.I Fridays. We had a last meeting with our DJ and some delicious tacos at Fuzzy's and our last good night of sleep before all the madness began on Thursday! Mike went out for his bachelor party round two and my fabulous mothers in law through me an amazing bridal shower complete with an adorable cake and lots of champagne with friends and family!

I love this girl to pieces :)

The cheesy "look what I got!" picture.

Just a little glimpse of my cake. It was delish!

The following day we had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner which was beyond good! We all gathered at Z'Tejas in downtown Austin and the Beards and the Haasbeeks finally met and mingled, had cocktails, and stuffed our faces :)

The next day was it!!! I could hardly sleep. I sprang out of bed at 6 am (Mike was not impressed) and immediately had butterflies in my stomach. We made a quick Starbucks run for caffeine and breakfast then it was off to the venue! I spent the next couple hours with my amazing bridesmaids and our fantastic make up artists from Flair Austin drinking mimosas, singing to Pandora, and laughing our asses off.

My beautiful bridesmaids! I couldn't have made it through the day without these ladies.

It poured rain all morning (apparently that means we will be rich and have twins! ha.) and we got off to a bit of a late start, but it truly was everything I wanted for my wedding day and we had a great time! Lots of family and friends, some drinks, some dancing, great food, and smiles all around :) We are so thankful and feel so lucky to have been surrounded by so much love and support, you guys are the best!

My hubs is HOT ;)

And he makes me very happy :)
Man oh man I sure do love him. :)
I'm super excited to see all of our professional photos because our photographer and videographer were AMAZING. I just know they were able to capture all the special moments and we will be able to treasure those forever. Once I get my hands on those pictures, you better believe they'll be up on the blog! :)

Until then, life is mostly back to normal in the Beard house. We got to pick up our sweet pup on Monday and I swear he doubled in size!

He was so happy to see his daddy!

Old man face still goin' strong!

Mike has taken on A LOT of extra responsibility at work and although it's stressful, he is great at what he does and I couldn't be prouder :) He heads back to sniper school on October 2 to finish up the last 7 weeks of the course and we're both looking forward to getting that over with just in time for Thanksgiving!

And as if that wasn't enough on his plate already, we are getting ready to move! Our little house was the perfect first home, but between the two of us, our fur babies, and all of our crap stuff, we have outgrown it more quickly than I expected! Plus, with a third deployment on the horizon we really wanted to look into the safest and most convenient option for me while Mike is away. Those factors lead us to a brand new neighborhood located on base called Heroes Manor. This neighborhood is managed by Lincoln Military Housing and WOW it is so nice!! Our floor plan is called The Onslow if you want to creep ;)

On October 14th we will be moving into our gorgeous new house with a nice big backyard for Lou! We get to do an initial house tour next week and I can't wait to take a million pictures and start mentally decorating :)
