23 Weeks

I typically take the chalkboard pictures in the soon-to-be nursery, but it's such a mess right now there's no room! I had to move to the front room and improvise ;) Also, it looks like my board could use a new coat of paint.. Yikes!
How far along? 23 weeks + 1 day.
Total weight gain: About 8 lbs.
Maternity clothes? A few here and there.. Mostly tank tops because I need the extra length to cover the belly!
Stretch marks? None so far, I feel very lucky!
Sleep: Sleep was a little rough while we were on our trip and I had to ditch the body pillow because it was making my hips ache. But now that we're home, sleep is back to it's normal and wonderful self :)
Nausea: None.
Best moment this week: Mike put together our crib and I just can't stop staring at it! Still waiting on a crib mattress and bedding, but I love that we are finally making a little progress on the nursery!
Miss Anything? Not currently!
Movement: Allllllll the time now! Baby girl is SO busy, she even throws a few punches here and there that make my whole belly move! I feel her the most at night once I'm in bed and more horizontal, but in the last couple days I've started to feel her more randomly throughout the day.
Food cravings: DONUTS. Usually I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but lately I feel like I could cozy up to a dozen donuts at least once a day.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Symptoms: Tons of baby movement, a little congestion (mostly at night), reeeeeeally sore hips :(
Belly Button in or out? Still in, but getting more and more shallow by the day it seems!
Wedding ring on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Pretty easily flustered/stressed but that might partly be my never ending to-do list after returning from two weeks of vacation.
Looking forward to: Working on the nursery! Mike is going to be even more busy than usual starting next Wednesday (if I had a dollar for every time I've said that...) but I plan to keep myself busy by nesting! There's tons of organizing to be done and plenty of baby shopping to do! :)

It feels SO good to be past the halfway point of this pregnancy. I have most of my energy back, my belly is officially looking like a bump and not like a bad case of too many burritos for lunch, and baby girl likes to dance party on the regular which is so much fun! I'm also less prone to random fits of tears which I know Mike appreciates ;)

This whole week (and probably a little bit of next week) has been all about playing catch up. Even though I did my best to keep up with laundry while we were out of town, somehow I still came home to a mountain of it, and I completely underestimated the mess that two minimally supervised cats can make over two weeks! Lots of cleaning - I vacuumed our room twice to pick up all of the hair - lots of organizing all the goodies we collected on our trip, and lots of early bed times for this preggo and her hard-working hubby :) Once I get my house back under control, I plan to dive head first into nursery prep. I know I still have plenty of time to get it all done, but I'd rather finish way ahead of schedule than be scrambling at the last minute! We've been so lucky to receive a ton of great gifts for baby girl already and one of biggest tasks I need to accomplish is figuring out how I want to store everything! I'm sure that once she gets here, any organization system I have in place will probably go out the window, but for now I'm going to do my best to make everything look neat and tidy. Other than that it's pretty much business as usual. We've had some pretty chilly weather in Jacksonville lately, but I'm doing my best to still get outside with Lou despite the colder temps! Hopefully I'm able to keep making nursery progress and I'll be sure to share if I do! Happy weekend!! :)
