Halloween 2016

Have you ever experienced one of those weekends that's just so, SO good, you can't stop thinking about it? One of those weekends where you don't necessarily do a whole lot, but everything seems to go right and you wish it would never end? We just had one of those weekends and I can't stop smiling!

Neither could Addie! :)

We haven't really had a "normal" weekend around here in a while. Not to say that they've been bad weekends, we've just had SO much going on whether it was extra work hours for Mike, or guests in the house, or huge tasks we had to accomplish.. We've pretty much been nonstop busy since Addie arrived! But this past weekend, the stars aligned, and we had a good old fashioned, lazy, family weekend.

I won't go into all the boring details because trust me, they're really boring. Lots of errand running, couch napping, and baby snuggles! But I will say that it really was a perfect weekend, and it was exactly what we needed.

Our Halloween was not quite as picture perfect, but when Halloween falls on a Monday it's bound to be a little crazy! I was still trying to catch up from the little trip I took to Charleston last week and totally over worked myself and poor Addie running all over town to get groceries and last minute costume pieces. The most important part of the whole day was getting Addie into her bumblebee costume which I managed to do, buuuuut she lasted approximately 4.32 minutes before completely melting down!

I put on my costume (bee wings and a tutu) for just long enough to get yellow glitter ALL over the house, and Mike didn't even get home from work in time to put on his bee keeper costume (cover alls and a netted hat) at all! Whoops! I'm just glad I managed to snap a few pictures of Addie in both her Halloween day outfit and her costume - we all know that's the whole point of baby's first holidays anyway ;)

Now that the craziness of October is over (what?!) I'm looking forward to things slowing down a bit for us in November. Mike will of course be busy, but he'll be around the house a lot more which is always good news, and things can kind of settle back down to normal before the holidays arrive! Addie's half birthday is just around the corner, and then my sister and her boyfriend are coming to spend Thanksgiving with us! I love having so much to look forward to :)

I hope you all had a great Halloween! Happy November!
