Length: juuuuuust under 27 in
Head Circumference: 43 cm
Wearing: she's right in between 3-6 and 6-9 month clothes, and size 3 diapers.
Likes: Bath time! Her pink owl, grabbing her toes, singing Wheels on the Bus, bouncing herself in her bouncy seat, "petting" Louis and getting kisses from him, chewing on everything she can get her hands on!
Eat
Still the same as before! Eating about every 2 hours, but usually likes to eat a little extra first thing in the morning and right before bed time. I offered her a tiny bit of mushed up banana to gum on in a mesh feeder and she was NOT a fan.. No solids quite yet for this girl! And even though she's been chewing on anything and everything, I still don't see any teeth coming through just yet!

Sleep
Has been a HOT MESS. Her naps are all over the place - really inconsistent in when she takes them and how long they last. Some days, she barely naps at all, and others she hardly lasts 2 hours in between snoozes. Night time sleep is much more consistent, but still not quite where I'd like it to be. Bed time is around 8 and she will usually sleep until between 5:30/6:30, waking up two or three times over night to eat. This is also a huge change from before when she was sleeping straight through the night until 8 in the morning! For now we're just doing our best to be consistent in our routines and be patient. She has so much going on developmentally right now, it's no wonder she's having a hard time, and I'm just thankful for the days she actually does sleep well, and for coffee! ;)
Play
Addie has been mastering a lot of new skills lately and I think that's a big reason why her sleep is so messed up! She is consistently rolling from belly to back and she is SO close to rolling back to belly! She loves sitting up in her Bumbo and recently started sitting propped up with a nursing pillow or on her changing pad. She loves to reach out and grab anything she can get her hands on, especially my hair, and it all goes straight into her mouth. She makes all kinds of new sounds, and is starting to get the hang of blowing raspberries! If I can keep Addie on her belly for long enough without rolling over, she likes to pull her knees up to wiggle and scoot around. One of the funniest things she's started doing lately is bouncing herself in her bouncy seat. She figured out that if she kicks her legs hard enough she can really get that thing moving, so she sticks her right leg out straight and kicks it hard over and over again. She always has such a serious face when she does it and I can't help but laugh!
This past month Addie has really kept me on my toes. She is full of so much personality and a lot of the time it's so much fun! But the sleep struggles have brought out a seriously grumpy side of my girl and it has really thrown me for a loop. Like I mentioned before, we are just sticking to our routines and I'm working on catching her tired cues right when they start so we don't miss the nap window and fall into over-tired territory. The only bright side of having a grumpy, tired baby is tons of snuggles and I will never say no to those!
Addison is so aware of what's going on around her and has started to interact with us a lot more. She loves to sit in front of a mirror and watch us make faces at her, and when sitting in our laps she reaches out to touch our faces and stick her fingers right in our mouths. She loves interactive songs like "Wheels On the Bus" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and singing is what gets us through most of our car rides! Things DO get a little weird when Mike has been gone for a couple of days and I start turning literally everything into a song.. But Addie doesn't seem to mind ;)
It hardly seems possible that I brought this tiny human into the world FIVE months ago. It isn't always easy, but I love watching my girl grow and I feel so lucky to be her mom!
Next up for the Beards: The pumpkin patch!! We finally have Mike home long enough to sneak away to our favorite pumpkin patch this weekend and I am not exaggerating when I say I've been counting down the hours! My dad was just here for probably the quickest visit ever (thanks Hurricane Matthew!) but we had a great time as always, and we have my mom heading into town next week! After that I have plans to make my way down to Charleston to visit one of my very best friends, and then before we know it, it'll be Halloween! Fall always seems to fly by SO fast, but that's probably because it's my favorite time of year!
Happy Friday everybody! Enjoy your weekend! :)
