Even though Addie changed A LOT between her third and fourth month, there was a lot of overlap in the products that we used the most during those times so I figured it would be a good idea to combine them into one post! That, and I forgot to post the three month must haves in a timely fashion... ;)
Dohm Sound Machine
Dohm Sound Machine
Even though she's still too little for any serious sleep training, I've been working on establishing routines for Addison's naps and bedtime, and white noise is a huge part of that! This white noise machine came highly recommended from a ton of other moms and has amazing reviews on Amazon. It makes a loud whooshing noise that you can adjust in a couple of different ways and has been perfect for drowning out whatever else is going on in the house while Addie sleeps. I'm also convinced that it helped Addie to get through our Houston & Atlanta trips with very little disruption in her sleep patterns!
Addie absolutely loves her My Little Snugapuppy bouncer and she also loves being swung back and forth in her carseat, so we figured that this swing would be the perfect combination and we were right! Now to be honest, this swing is HUGE and it does make a bit of noise when it's going, but we don't care too much about either of those things because of how much Addie likes to be in it. One of the things that we love most about it is that the seat can be rotated to swing either front to back or side to side, and Addie's favorite feature is the mirrored mobile. She loves to look up at her reflection and babble to herself! While she was still on a three-a-day nap schedule, Addie usually took her short morning nap and occasionally her evening nap in the swing as well.
Addie still isn't too big on a lot of toys, but this is one that she absolutely loves! For a while we had it clipped onto the handle of her carseat and she would stare at it and rub her little hands against it. Now that she's getting better control of her hands, we've unclipped it from the handle and put it in her lap whenever she's in the carseat or the stroller. She grabs onto it and immediately shoves it in her mouth to chew on (like pretty much everything she can get her hands on these days...) and it crinkles as she chews!
It has been INSANELY hot here lately, and even if we get out first thing in the morning for a walk, poor Addie would still end up sweaty and uncomfortable. After doing a little research I found this clip on fan and so far I've been really happy with it! I love that it's rechargeable, the clip is really strong and large enough to secure onto the side of the stroller, and the spaces on the cover are close enough together that I never have to worry about Addie sticking a finger or toe in between them. Even on the lowest setting this little fan puts out a serious amount of air, keeping my girl nice and comfy on our walks!
Solly Baby Wrap Carrier
This was one of the first things I bought when I found out it was pregnant because I've always been in love with the idea of wearing my baby! Much to my disappointment, Addie HATED this thing for the longest time. Trying to wrap her up in the newborn carry was a nightmare because she hated having her feet tucked up and would push and kick until she popped out over the top of my shoulder, but she was too tiny for the classic carry. So until very recently, the poor Solly sat unused in the diaper bag. Once she was big enough that I was comfortable wrapping her in the classic carry, it was a total game changer! Having her feet out made her a much happier girl, and her head control is good enough that she can take in all of her surroundings without me having to hold her up. I wore Addie in the Solly through three different airports on my recent trip to Houston, and I wear her pretty much any time we run errands. I love having her so close to me while also having my hands free! She's much less fussy, and my life is MUCH less stressful. I have the Blush Swiss Dot pattern, but all of the colors they offer are beautiful and I am dying to get a second one! Baby wearing for the win! ;)
Bumbo Floor Seat
Aside from the convenience of Addie being able to sit upright without us holding her, is there anything cuter than chubby baby thighs squished into these leg holes?! But Addie really does love to be upright and there are times when I enjoy the use of both of my hands at once (like when I'm eating dinner) so the Bumbo seat gives us the best of both worlds! We have the mint color, but there are a ton of cute ones to choose from! I have a feeling this will continue to be one of our favorites for next few months until Addie is sitting up on her own!
Guys.. My baby is a third of a year old. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around that! I'm working on putting together our fall bucket list for this year, and while it's taking me a bit longer than usual (like most things these days), it's 10x more fun with Addie in the picture! I'm getting so excited to take her to her first pumpkin patch, dress up for her first Halloween, and take in all of these amazing experiences with my sweet girl! :)
