Beachin'

Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their day as much as we have been :)

The forecast today: High 70's and sun. Really there was no excuse NOT to go to the beach!

Lou has been to the beach before but not since August last year, plus I discovered that Top Sail beach (the place where Mike proposed to me) allows dogs to be off leash during their "off season" aka right now! I could not pass up this opportunity for some quality time in the sand and sun. So my friend Bri and I packed up her kids, my (fur) baby, our beach chairs, and some Bud Light Lime tall boys and made our way over to North Top  Sail island.

It could've been a BIT warmer, but the beach wasn't crowded and the kiddos (all three of them ;)) had a great time! Bri and I got to catch some rays while her littles built sand castles and Lou tried to win the award for "sandiest lips"... 

I think he has it in the bag ;)

A few hours later we made a quick stop at Subway, then had a quick hose bath in the backyard, and now it's all snuggles on the couch. Probably for the rest of the evening!

Lou was SO well behaved at the beach today, it made me really excited to take him back more as the weather gets warmer, especially once Mike gets home! I hope you all enjoy your Easter weekend, hopefully it will be filled with sunny weather and lots of sweet treats!
