Mike's Deployment Address

The day is almost here! Mike will be leaving Camp Lejeune late Wednesday night for his seven month deployment to Afghanistan. So many people have been asking for an address for Mike while he is away, so here it is!

He loves getting letters as well as packages! If you are planning to send a package, some really useful items include:

• AA batteries
• Socks
• Flavored tuna,chicken,salmon,etc. packets
• Dried fruit
• Gum
• Disposable razors
• Candy! His favorites are Reese's and anything "cookies and cream" flavored.

If you are going to send candy, just make sure that it isn't anything that will easily melt. Those boxes get so hot while they are being shipped that anything like chocolate bars, Reese's cups, Airheads, etc. will be a melted puddle by the time they reach him! Also, feel free to get creative with your letters or packages! Any little slice of home is such a great comfort to him while he's so far away!

We truly appreciate all of the support we receive from our family and friends and it's so comforting to know that so many people have us in their hearts during this deployment! We love you all!

P.S. I have been frantically trying to put together a post about the past few weeks with pictures and the story of our wedding day and everything else! I've just been too busy snuggling up with my  new hubby I guess ;) but I promise I'll have it done soon!
